What is IntuitiveTango
IntuitiveTango are Argentine Tango based dance classes for those dealing with the effects of Parkinson’s head on.
It shall not be considered, physical therapy or exercise training but simply as dance classes designed to accommodate those with Parkinson’s.
The one key thing that makes this different is that they are classes were inspired by an Argentine tango dancer who has Parkinson’s disease.
All other classes are thought out by those looking into the disease; whereas this one is inspired by someone looking at it from the inside out.

“ Dance with your heart not with your head”
Chris Runge, creator of intuitive Tango and Parkinson’s patient.
Main people referred to me as a romantic, I’ve referred to myself as a hopeful romantic leaving that love always wins… you’ll understand why I start with this statement first.
I’ve come to the understanding the key thing that make this program work… I’ve always learned to dance from my heart.
Let me explain further.
Almost all dances are taught by learning sequential patterns of steps sort of like lines and footprints drawn out on the floor.
That never worked for me. All it ever did was confuse and frustrate me.
I had to learn to dance from my heart, without thinking about what the next step is.
And I think that is the key to dancing Tango, or let me say even better and qualify it… doing anything with Parkinson’s.
For Parkinson’s doesn’t affect the heart… it only affects the mind.
And that I know that the heart is the seat of the one thing that drives everything and that nothing can separate me or us from and that is… love.
So if you take one thing away from this series of classes is that as you walk through life, “ dance with your heart not with your head.”
