For those of you who know me well, you know is it can be a very hands-on person when it comes to accomplishing the task at hand.
Be they projects from my previous career, to chores around the house, projects in the yard; I like to be involved and get my hands dirty and be part of the process.
It just a part of who I am, how I was created to be, I used to be very task oriented.
I did say, “used to be.”
Then five year ago I found out I had Parkinson’s and there was a challenge in my life I had no ability what so ever to be a hands-on to remedy, for there is no cure.
There as always where I have reached my end, God begins and speaks His reassuring promises and truths;
“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” (Isaiah 41:10).
So when I am at my end I know God His Hand on my life I can rest without fear or worry, and I know in my weakest moments, He is my strength and when I feel low He set my feet on firm ground.
Trust me those those moments are normal in typical everyday life, yet are multiplied by Parkinson’s.
Lord, teach me to remember that Your mighty right hand is ever present and thank you for your enduring love and care for me.
